About Vogelsang Sandals, Clogs and Shoes

Vogelsang Footwear is manufactured with a personal human touch at the Vogelsang factory in Dinkelsbuhl, Germany. Pride is taken in every step of the manufacturing process of our footwear, and we guarantee your satisfaction with our products.

Among our customers, you'll find physicians, nurses and other health care professionals, along with chefs, waitstaff, dentists, massage therapists, hairdressers, estheticians, custodians, retail managers and sales associates. If you are on your feet for most or all of the day and find that you suffer from tired aching feet, leg cramps, sore knees, or a sore back, then Vogelsang Footwear is for you. Our sandals, clogs and shoes are specially designed with comfort in mind.

Footbed
Our anatomically formed deep footbed insole is made of genuine natural cork and natural latex and is lined with quality calf suede. The latex heel cushion supports 90% of your body weight which helps to prevent any symptoms of fatigue even (and especially) after extended wear. Our footbeds come in two widths - products are narrow for ladies and wider for men.

Sole
Three different types of soles are available in our product line. The EVA-Wedge Sole which is about 12mm higher in the heel than in the toe area and is comparable to a normal walking shoe. This sole is featured in all our shoes.

Our flat sole is between 9 and 10 mm thick from toe to heel. We also offer a special cellular rubber wedge sole, which offers non-slip grip on wet or slippery floors. We recommend these products for wear in areas like kitchens or butcher shops.

All of our soles are very flexible in addition to being extremely durable, due to a footbed made of cork and built-in latex heel cushions. These latex "shock absorbers" help to protect your spine and joints. Our Customers tell us over and over that their back aches, joint aches or heel spurs have improved after prolonged wear of our footwear, and in some cases these conditions have disappeared altogether. Upper
We do not use synthetic materials of any kind. Only pure genuine calf leather for most of our products. All of our leathers are free from harmful chemicals such as PCP, AZO dyes and other questionable tanning and preparation agents. Because we use all natural dyes and tanning agents, it is possible that some of the dye will rub off or bleed if your feet get warm or the shoes get wet.

It used to be that when chemicals that are harmful to your health and to the environment were used in the manufacturing process, this did not occur. Bleeding of the dye is not a manufacturing defect - don't worry if this happens for the first few weeks of wear. Try to avoid wearing light coloured socks until your shoes are worn in.
