Welcome to Vogelsang Canada. My name is Deborah Broll. I was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario where I live with my daughter and work as a Professional Social Worker.

Like many of my customers, I started off by wearing Birkenstock™ Sandals, and although I liked them, I always felt like I had a pelvic tilt.

In the summer of 1996 while visiting family in Germany, my Mother-in-Law offered to take me shopping for shoes that she promised I would love, at a great price. So we went to the factory in Dinkelsbuhl, 17km from my late husband's home village of Langfurth, and I got my first pair of Vogelsang Sandals.

The sandals I tried on felt just like slippers, and I felt immediate relief to my lower back as soon as I put them on. The slight rise of the heel and the heel cushion are amazing. That first pair turned into three by the time I left for Canada.

It followed that all my friends and family loved the look and feel of the shoes, so on my next visit I came home with a suitcase full of Vogelsang Footwear - and that's how it all began. In June of 1998, I became a Canadian Distributor for Vogelsang Shoes.

Working in an acute care hospital with the hard floors and extensive walking, I wore my clogs and sandals. Not only were my legs not sore and aching, but soon over 100 colleagues, nurses and doctors were ordering shoes. Anyone who has tried Vogelsang Footwear loves the fit, feel and support they provide.

I still have my old pair of Birkenstocks around to illustrate the difference that the Vogelsang heel cushion makes, acting as a shock absorber for your knees and joints and supporting over 90% of your body weight.

All of my friends and family wear Vogelsang Footwear now, and my client base is expanding every day as the word spreads about how comfortable these shoes are. Most of my customers own three or more pairs - and tell me that they would buy more, but their Vogelsangs just don't wear out fast enough!
